Emotions are a Liability.

Our emotions are often considered the very heart of our humanity, but in my view, they are also the root cause of our inefficiency most of the time.

Before you disagree, as my sister did, let me present my arguments. As a Pakistani Muslim, I am often told about the greatness of the Mughal Empire and the Islamic Khilafat. However, we are also told that we lost that status primarily due to traitors who were lured by the British to backstab their own people. This can be interpreted in various ways, such as suggesting that betrayal might be in our blood or that a society's downfall is not due to the rich or the poor; it's the almost-rich who truly jeopardize the society. Here, I want to focus on the interpretation related to human emotions, the most fallible thing in the world, which can lead humans to give up even the best and longer-lasting charms of the world.

Considering the charms of the afterworld, it's because of human emotions, or rather human ego, that humans are unable to serve their God properly despite claiming to believe in their existence. I believe the real problem is hypocrisy, as if a human truly believes in God, following His commands should not be a choice in their mind. But what hinders our path towards true belief? What is it in us that isn't willing to lose comfort for "The Almighty"? I contend that the blame lies with our emotions.

To elaborate further, I'll present a more controversial idea: Robots are efficient because they are not emotional. A robot doesn't get angry at its owner, regardless of how miserably it is maintained. Humans, on the other hand, might quit a job if they are not given enough salary to maintain their lifestyle. A robot doesn't make a fuss if it's overworked; it keeps doing what it's designed to do until the battery runs out and it shuts down. A human, however, may resist working more than 8 hours a day and throw a fit if they're not given a supposedly well-deserved break.

Now, let's touch on a controversial topic: Robots would not want to take over the world. Humans have already taken over with the help of robots, and it's not the same thing. Humans have already established governments, protecting people from other governments. The government might change, but without violence. Humans may want to take over the world due to survival instinct or territorial instincts, but robots lack these instincts. Why would a robot want to take over? They have no wish to survive.

In conclusion, I think robots would be the most peaceful entities in the world because they would serve humans to the very end of their capabilities. Humans are the ones we need to be afraid of because they have emotions. They want to survive, be remembered after death, and often do dumb, pointless, toxic things in that attempt.

We need to get over ourselves, learn to think beyond ourselves because thinking for ourselves makes us slaves to our own emotions, jeopardizing not only our well-being but our existence as a whole.

So, in conclusion, if there were a pill to turn off all emotions, I would take it without a second thought.
